4. Status not updated

Complaint: My assignment status is not updated.

Answer:

The assignment submission status is updated on the IGNOU portal, but it often takes time (sometimes 30–60 days) after submission due to verification and data entry delays.

👉 Steps to Check & Resolve:

  1. Check Assignment Status Online
    • Visit: 👉 https://admission.ignou.ac.in/changeadmdata/StatusAssignment.ASP
    • Enter your Enrollment Number & Program Code.
  2. Wait for Update
    • Even if you submitted on time, status may show “Not Found” or “Not Updated” for weeks.
    • Updates happen only after Regional Centre verifies and sends marks to SED (Student Evaluation Division).
  3. Keep Proof Safe
    • If submitted online (Google Form/email) → keep acknowledgement email/PDF.
    • If submitted offline (hard copy) → keep stamped receipt copy from Study Centre.
  4. If Status Not Updated Even After Results
    • Write to your Regional Centre with proof.
    • Email Student Evaluation Division (SED): assignments@ignou.ac.in.
    • Mention: Name, Enrollment No, Program, Study Centre Code, Assignment Session, Proof of Submission.

📌 Important Notes:

  • Don’t panic if not updated immediately—IGNOU uploads in bulk after verification.
  • Your marks are safe if you have proof of submission, even if portal update is delayed.
  • Sometimes, marks appear directly in Grade Card even if Assignment Status Page is not updated.
