5. Where to submit

Complaint: Where to submit handwritten assignments?

Answer:

IGNOU accepts handwritten assignments only (typed/printed assignments are not valid). Submission can be done in two ways, depending on your Regional Centre (RC) / Study Centre (SC) instructions:

📌 1. Offline Submission (Hard Copy)

  • Write assignments by hand on A4 sheets.
  • Attach front page with details: Name, Enrollment Number, Program Code, Course Code, Study Centre Code, Mobile No., Session.
  • Bind or staple properly.
  • Submit to your Study Centre/Regional Centre in person.
  • Take acknowledgement slip/stamp as proof of submission.

📌 2. Online Submission (Soft Copy Scanned)

  • Some RCs (especially during COVID & later) provide a Google Form / Portal / Email.
  • Students have to scan handwritten assignments into PDF and upload.
  • Each course should be in a separate PDF
  • Keep acknowledgement email / auto-response as proof.

👉 How to Confirm Where to Submit in Your Case?

  • Check official Regional Centre website → “Assignment Submission Guidelines.”
  • If not clear, call/email your Study Centre (number is on your ID card / RC site).

📌 Important Notes:

  • IGNOU does not accept typed assignments.
  • Submission mode (offline/online) may differ for each RC.
  • Always submit before last date to avoid late fee/extension issues.

👉 Tip: If your RC has both options, prefer offline submission because it is considered the safest with stamped proof.
