If your assignment, practical, project, or exam marks are wrongly entered in the Grade Card, you should immediately report it to IGNOU.

📌 Steps to Correct Wrong Marks in Grade Card

  1. Verify the Error
    • Check your evaluated answer sheet/assignment acknowledgement slip (if available) or compare with your hall ticket and subject code to confirm the mistake.
  2. Contact Your Regional Centre (RC)
    • For assignment/practical/project marks:
      • Visit or email your RC (Assignment Section).
      • Share details: Enrollment Number, Programme Code, Subject Code, Session, and copy of the submitted assignment receipt.
  1. Contact Student Evaluation Division (SED), IGNOU HQ
    • For term-end exam marks:
      • Write to examresult@ignou.ac.in with:
        • Enrollment No.
        • Programme & Course Code
        • Screenshot/print of Grade Card showing the error
        • Copy of hall ticket/admit card
  1. Keep Proofs Ready
    • Assignment submission slip, email acknowledgment, or scanned copy of evaluated script (if received).
  2. Follow-up Timeline
    • Corrections generally take 4–6 weeks after complaint.

  • Do not wait until Convocation or Degree — corrections must be done before final results are issued.
