Answer:

If your re-registration payment has been deducted but your status is not updated in the portal, it usually means the payment hasn’t been confirmed or the portal hasn’t synced yet.

📌 Why Payment May Not Reflect

  1. Bank/Payment Gateway Delay – Some payments take 24–72 hours to reflect.
  2. Failed or Partial Transaction – Sometimes amount is deducted but transaction fails to complete.
  3. Portal Sync Issue – IGNOU portal may take 1–2 weeks to update after payment confirmation.
  4. Incorrect Details Entered – Wrong Enrollment No. / Programme Code / Session during payment.

📌 Steps to Resolve

  1. Check Bank Statement / Payment Receipt
    • Ensure transaction is successful.
    • Keep UTR / Reference number
  2. Wait 1–2 Business Days
    • Most payments reflect automatically within this period.
  3. Contact Regional Centre (RC)
    • Provide: Name, Enrollment Number, Programme, Session, Payment Proof (Receipt/UTR).
    • Request manual verification and update.
  4. Email IGNOU HQ (if RC doesn’t respond)
    • Email: admission@ignou.ac.in or support@ignou.ac.in
    • Include all details + payment proof.

  • Do not pay again unless you get confirmation; duplicate payments can create complications.
