If your semester or session is not visible on the IGNOU student portal dashboard, it usually means that your re-registration has not been processed or updated.

📌 Reasons Semester May Not Appear

  1. Pending Re-Registration – Your previous session re-registration may not have been completed successfully.
  2. Payment Not Processed – Transaction may be pending or not confirmed.
  3. Portal Sync Delay – Sometimes the student portal takes 1–2 weeks to reflect updates.
  4. Incorrect Enrollment / Programme Details – Wrong session or programme code may block display.

📌 Steps to Resolve

  1. Verify Re-Registration Status
    • Check your re-registration acknowledgment (online receipt / payment confirmation).
  2. Check Payment
    • Ensure payment was successful and recorded in your bank / payment gateway statement.
  3. Wait for Portal Update
    • Portal updates usually take a few working days after successful re-registration.
  4. Contact Regional Centre (RC)
    • Provide: Name, Enrollment Number, Programme, Session, Payment Proof.
    • Request manual update of semester on dashboard.
  5. Email IGNOU Helpdesk if not updated
    • support@ignou.ac.in or admission@ignou.ac.in
    • Include all details + payment / acknowledgment proof.
