09. Project / Internship / Practical

6. My project status is still “Not Received”.

Complaint: My project status is still “Not Received”.

Answer:

If your project/internship status is showing “Not Received” in IGNOU records, it usually means that the Regional Centre (RC) / Study Centre has not yet uploaded or acknowledged your submission.

📌 Why Status Shows “Not Received”

  1. Delay in Data Entry – RCs process submissions in batches; it may take 2–4 weeks to update online.
  2. Submission Not Properly Recorded – Hard copy may not have been stamped/acknowledged, or soft copy not uploaded correctly.
  3. Wrong Session / Course Code Entry – Data mismatch during upload.
  4. Courier / Postal Delay – If sent by post, RC may not have received it yet.

📌 Steps to Resolve

  1. Check Proof of Submission
    • Hard copy → stamped receipt from RC / Study Centre.
    • Soft copy → email acknowledgment or portal submission confirmation.
  2. Contact Your Regional Centre (RC)
    • Provide: Enrollment Number, Programme Code, Course Code, Session, Submission Date, Proof.
    • Request confirmation of receipt and status update.
  3. Email IGNOU HQ (if RC does not respond)
    • Email: projectsection@ignou.ac.in
    • Include: Name, Enrollment No., Programme, Course Code, RC, Submission Proof.
  4. Wait for Status Update
    • Once RC confirms receipt, status usually updates in 1–2 weeks.

📌 Important Notes

  • Do not panic – as long as you have proof, your project is safe.
  • Keep all submission proofs handy for future reference, especially if TEE results are being processed.
  • Avoid submitting a duplicate project unless explicitly instructed by RC.

👉 Tip: Always submit both hard copy and soft copy (if allowed) to prevent “Not Received” status issues.
