✅ Answer:

Delay in receiving printed books is a common issue at IGNOU and often depends on the dispatch cycle of MPDD (Material Production & Distribution Division), location of the student, and availability of stock.

👉 Here’s what you should do:

✅ Step 1: Check Dispatch Status Online

Visit the IGNOU Book Dispatch Tracking Portal:

• Enter your Enrollment Number and Program Code
• You’ll see:
  • Dispatch date
  • Consignment number (AWB)
  • Courier name (India Post / others)

✅ Step 2: Track Shipment

If a consignment number is shown, track the shipment using:

📦 If Dispatch Details Not Found:

✅ Wait Period:

• Printed material is dispatched within 6–8 weeks after admission confirmation, but it may take longer during peak sessions.

✅ Use Digital Study Material:

• Download soft copies from:

  • Or use IGNOU’s official eGyanKosh mobile app (available on Play Store)

📩 If Excessive Delay (More Than 2 Months):

1. Email mpdd@ignou.ac.in or your Regional Centre with:
   • Enrollment number
   • Program name
   • Session (e.g., July 2024)
   • Full postal address and contact number
2. Mention clearly: “Study Material Not Received”
