01. Admission

2. Verification not done

Complaint: I uploaded documents, but verification is not done.

Answer:

If your documents are uploaded but still not verified, it means your application is still under manual scrutiny by the IGNOU admission team.

👉 Here’s what you should do:

  1. Be Patient (Wait 10–15 Working Days):
Document verification takes time, especially during high admission volumes. IGNOU usually verifies documents in batches.
  2. Check for Document Issues:
    • Login at https://ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in/
    • Go to your application dashboard.
    • Check if any remarks or document rejection messages are shown (e.g., blurry image, missing certificate).
  3. If No Update After 15 Days:
    • Send an email to your Regional Centre mentioning your application number and a polite request to verify your documents.
    • Attach:
      • Scanned copies of your submitted documents (in clear resolution)
      • Payment receipt (if available)
      • Screenshot of the admission status.
  4. Raise Grievance on iGRAM (If Needed):
Visit http://igram.ignou.ac.in/ and file a complaint under the “Admission” category with all details.
  5. Visit Regional Centre (Optional for Urgency):
If it’s urgent and you’re not getting a reply online, you may visit the Regional Centre in person with your document set.

📌 Tips:

  • Make sure all uploads are clear, properly cropped, and legible.
  • Check if your document file formats are in JPG/PDF and within size limits.
